Overview
We are looking for a remote-working Sales Associate to contact prospects that we identify as potential customers. This is a fully remote role in a full-time position. As you would be the driving force for expanding our customer base, it is vital that you have a genuine passion for sales, are motivated by challenges, and are eager to learn. You will enter a junior position with ample space for growth in a fast-growing company.
About the company
Guavas Finance provides commercial brokerage services to UK businesses, focusing on invoice finance, asset finance, business loans, and commercial property finance. Guavas Finance was founded in 2023 by a successful entrepreneur with experience in launching and managing businesses in this industry and previously found the largest brokerage of this kind in the UK. Our role as a company is to capture business enquiries from various sources and nurture them to ensure the closure of deals with our partner lenders. We are a young, diverse, dynamic and global team, looking for people with a great attitude above anything else.

Required skills and experience:
For this role, a strong Internet connection is required, along with:
- A qualification or degree in business, sales, or similar;
- Experience in a call/contact centre role where you made outbound COLD calls;
- Previous sales experience and an interest in sales;
- An interest in Financial Products;
- Enjoy speaking to business owners, directors and decision-makers;
- A hunger to hit targets and earn commissions;
- Excellent English, both written and spoken;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- An aptitude for working with people;
- A polite and professional telephone manner;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- Good time management and organisational skills;
- Good negotiation skills.
Additionally desired (but not required) skills and experience:
In addition to the above, our ideal candidate also has:
- Experience with a UK customer base;
- Knowledge of the UK financing industry and familiarity with UK financial products such as invoice finance;
- Experience with the software we utilise: Slack, Hubspot, Google Workspace.
Job description and daily responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospects (business owners and directors);
- Utilise various methods of contact, including emails, phone calls, live chat, LinkedIn, and Whatsapp, to reach out to prospects;
- Utilise our CRM to capture customer and company information;
- Utilise our database to gather information on prospects and identify relevant prospects to contact;
- Be knowledgeable about the products and services we offer, including invoice finance, asset finance, business loans, and commercial property finance;
- Conduct market research to identify additional sources of new prospects;
- Optimise the contact strategy used for converting prospects into customers.
The Sales Associate will spend the majority of their time on the phone, talking to potential customers.

The ideal person also wants to make a difference in a growing business and establish themselves as a player in the industry. This is a remote working role, so you will need Fibre internet, a place to work from, and a load-shedding solution (e.g. UPS) to ensure that you are able to work uninterrupted during work hours.
Compensation
Up to R20,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
