This role requires a unique blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and a keen eye for detail.

We’re looking for a hands-on Web Developer / Webmaster whose core strength is building and managing WordPress websites, with strong technical confidence around hosting, performance, and site stability, with a basic understanding of SEO best practices & Analytics tracking.

This is a hands-on technical role that will report directly to the Lead Web & SEO Manager as well as our Head of E-commerce.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

WordPress Development & Website Builds

• Build, develop, and maintain WordPress websites
• Work extensively with Elementor to create and manage page layouts
• Configure themes, plugins, and site functionality
• Maintain and improve existing websites
• Troubleshoot site issues and plugin conflicts

Hosting, Servers & Infrastructure Ownership

• Set up and manage website hosting environments
• Monitor uptime, performance, and errors
• Configure PHP versions, memory limits, caching, and server settings
• Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT)
• Manage SSL certificates
• Manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery

CDN, Performance & Security

• Manage Cloudflare (or similar CDN) accounts
• Configure caching, firewall rules, and basic bot protection
• Purge and manage caches during site updates
• Apply security hardening and updates

Analytics & Tracking Support

• Work with GA4 and/or Google Tag Manager
• Set up and edit new/existing tags in GTM
• Ensure analytics and tags are correctly implemented
• Assist with debugging, tracking or measurement issues

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong WordPress development experience
• Hands-on experience using Elementor or a similar page builder
• Hosting setup and ongoing hosting management experience
• Familiarity with Cloudflare or similar CDN platforms
• Experience with GA4 and/or Google Tag Manager
• Technically confident and able to troubleshoot independently
• Ability to find suitable solutions to everyday problems

ADVANTAGEOUS:

• Exposure to other CMS platforms
• ACF (advanced custom fields)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Basic PHP knowledge
• Basic understanding of technical & on Page SEO principles
