About the Role

The Strategic Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy that accelerates brand authority, drives revenue growth, and builds a predictable pipeline of leads, buyers, and partners. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution across brand, content, digital marketing, demand generation, lifecycle marketing, and analytics.

You will be responsible for positioning the company as the category leader, building multi-channel marketing engines, and creating a cohesive brand experience that supports sales, partnerships, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the company’s end-to-end marketing strategy, aligning it with business goals, the VTO, and quarterly Rocks.
  • Translate the brand vision into actionable, measurable marketing plans.
  • Lead long-range planning for brand growth, demand generation, and go-to-market initiatives.

Brand Positioning & Authority Building

  • Strengthen the company’s position as the #1 trusted authority in its category.
  • Oversee brand messaging, narrative development, and content strategy.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice across all channels, collateral, and campaigns.

Demand Generation & Growth Marketing

  • Build predictable lead-generation engines across paid, organic, referral, webinar, and channel networks.
  • Own the top-of-funnel strategy—traffic acquisition, conversions, nurturing, and attribution.
  • Develop, test, and optimize multi-channel campaigns (email, social, content, SEO, paid ads).

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Lead development of high-value content: blogs, whitepapers, guides, webinars, email sequences, and video scripts.
  • Support the CEO and leadership team in amplifying thought leadership and public visibility.
  • Oversee editorial calendars, content workflows, and creative development.

Partnership & Channel Marketing

  • Build and support key referral networks, channel relationships, and value-add partnerships.
  • Design co-marketing, webinar collaborations, and ecosystem-building strategies.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization

  • Track and report on KPIs including lead flow, cost per acquisition, funnel conversion, campaign ROI, and engagement.
  • Use data to refine messaging, target audiences, and marketing spend.
  • Implement marketing automation and systems to scale operations.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage external agencies, contractors, and internal marketing contributors.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to ensure message alignment and shared KPIs.
  • Build and standardize marketing processes, tools, and documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in marketing, with at least 3 years leading marketing strategy or directing a marketing team.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling multi-channel marketing engines.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, growth strategy, and demand generation.
  • Deep experience with content strategy, brand storytelling, and thought leadership.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience building dashboards and managing KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, entrepreneurial, or startup environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in B2B services, consulting, finance/legal/professional services, or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
  • Experience building marketing functions from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms.

  • Oversee contractors/agencies and collaborate with Sales and Operations.
  • Build scalable marketing processes, systems, and playbooks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with leadership in strategic or growth marketing.
