Job Title: Social Media Video Content Manager

Location: Remote (South Africa-based preferred)

Reporting to: Operations Director

About VA Central:

VA Central specializes in providing virtual assistant services to UK-based businesses, particularly within the estate agency sector. As a Social Media Video Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and high-quality video content to elevate our brand, enhance online visibility, and drive customer engagement across various social media platforms. You will work with a team of 5 within the marketing division and create social media content for 8 team members’ LinkedIn personal branding. You’ll ensure that content stays on trend, aligns with brand identity, meets high-quality standards, and meets deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Content Creation:

  • Produce high-quality video content for social media, websites, newsletters, and marketing campaigns.
  • Create video content for all major social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with campaign goals and brand identity.
  • Ensure all video content is optimized for various platforms (social media, website, YouTube, etc.)

Team Management:

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create impactful content.
  • Create 8 team members’ content for their LinkedIn personal brands ensuring each team member delivers 6 video content posts per month.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and create humour-driven, clever, and sleek content that is impactful and relevant to the audience.
  • Work closely with the marketing team (graphic designer & campaign managers) to brainstorm and develop content ideas.
  • Present final content ideas to the Operations Director for approval and feedback.

Video Editing & Post-Production:

  • Apply advanced editing techniques using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and other video editing software.
  • Create dynamic, visually appealing videos through editing, colour correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics.
  • Ensure that videos are consistently high-quality and meet industry standards.

Campaign & Trend Integration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video content that aligns with broader marketing campaigns and objectives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest video trends and techniques to continuously innovate and ensure content is fresh, relevant, and engaging.

Innovation & Creativity:

  • Experiment with new video formats, animation styles, and storytelling methods to create unique and compelling content.
  • Offer creative ideas for video content that enhances brand engagement and attracts new customers.

Content Planning and Execution:

  • Ensure deadlines are met by following up with team members on video content needed and ensure content creation is aligned with the marketing calendar.
  • Work with the team to come up with creative video content that captures attention and drives engagement on social media.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Advanced skills in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
  • Proven experience in creating engaging video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of video formats, resolution standards, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Ability to manage a team and oversee content creation processes to ensure high-quality outputs on time.

  • Own computer or laptop.

  • Headphones for use with our VOIP phone system.
  • Anti-virus installed.
  • UPS/Back-up battery for load shedding.
