Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking SEO Account Director to lead strategic search initiatives and deliver industry-leading results. This senior role is pivotal in shaping and executing integrated SEO strategies, supporting knowledge-sharing across the team, and providing expert consultancy to key clients.
Working closely with the Managing Director, the SEO Account Director will be responsible for driving the SEO proposition forward while collaborating with client leads to ensure clarity and understanding around technical recommendations. The ideal candidate will also play a role in identifying training needs, managing team performance, and optimising internal processes to enhance delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level consultancy on SEO strategy, helping to align search efforts with broader business and marketing goals.
- Guide and unify specialists to deliver integrated, strategic SEO campaigns.
- Translate technical SEO recommendations into actionable insights for clients.
- Identify and address performance issues, implementing improvements where needed.
- Contribute to internal training plans and share SEO knowledge with the wider team.
- Monitor performance trends and diagnose technical website issues using data insights.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in consulting on search strategy and securing stakeholder buy-in with tangible results.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage and optimise budgets creatively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with both clients and internal teams.
- Skilled in identifying data trends and translating them into strategic or technical action points.
- Strategic understanding of how SEO integrates into cross-channel digital marketing campaigns.
- Several years of hands-on experience in SEO and digital strategy, ideally within a digital agency or client-side environment.
