About the Role
As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving exhibitor and sponsorship sales for both events. Your expertise in prospecting, negotiation, and relationship building will be key to your success in this remote role. You’ll work closely with our team to identify potential clients, develop tailored pitches, and secure sales that contribute to the growth and success of these renowned events.
This is a remote position based in Cape Town, South Africa. The successful candidate must have the following:
- A good-quality laptop with a working webcam and quality microphone.
- A reliable generator at their place of work to mitigate load shedding interruptions.
- A smartphone for communication and prospecting purposes.
- A strong, stable WiFi connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting: Identify and engage potential exhibitors and sponsors through telephone, LinkedIn, and email.
- Communication: Deliver clear, concise, and professional communication in both spoken and written English.
- Sales Performance: Achieve and exceed sales targets, consistently driving revenue growth.
- Negotiation: Use strong negotiation skills to close deals that meet the needs of both the client and the business.
- Organisation: Manage pipelines and maintain accurate records in the CRM system to ensure a structured approach to sales.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the event team to ensure client satisfaction and seamless execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Highly skilled in prospecting through multiple channels, including telephone, LinkedIn, and email.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Strong negotiation abilities with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Punctual, hardworking, and motivated by challenges.
