Carat Global Assurance certifies food and consumer-goods brands to globally recognised standards—Halal, SQF, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Vegan, and more. Our mission is to simplify compliance, accelerate market access, and build consumer trust. As we expand, we are adding a high-calibre Sales Development Representative to open new conversations with manufacturers and brand owners across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Value-Led Prospecting – Communicate CGA’s certification benefits clearly and credibly, tailoring messages to prospects’ technical and commercial needs.
  • Collaboration – Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure smooth hand-off of well-scoped opportunities and share feedback to refine our playbooks.
  • Process Discipline – Maintain accurate activity records
  • Continuous Learning – Develop subject-matter expertise in food safety and halal certification; keep abreast of regulatory trends that affect our clients.

Candidate Profile

  • 1–3 years of success in B2B outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (experience in compliance, logistics, food, or SaaS sectors is advantageous).
  • Proven ability to connect with decision-makers via phone, video, and social platforms.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills; comfortable working toward measurable targets.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional proficiency in Afrikaans, Arabic, or French is a plus.
  • Self-directed, resilient, and motivated by clear goals rather than close supervision.
