Title: Online Copyeditor

Location: Remote – South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Paid Position

Role Summary

The Online Copyeditor will review and refine digital content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency, ensuring all copy aligns with style guidelines and editorial standards before publication.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread articles, blog posts, and web pages for grammar, punctuation, and style consistency.
• Verify facts, names, and data points to maintain content accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s style guide and voice standards.
• Collaborate with writers and content managers to resolve editorial queries.
• Manage version control and document revisions within cloud-based platforms.
• Meet daily editing targets and maintain high-quality output under deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in copyediting or related content production roles.
• Exceptional command of English grammar, syntax, and digital writing conventions.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in editing practices.
• Proficiency with online collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Notion, or Trello).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual gross salary: ZAR 180,000 – ZAR 240,000 per year.
