Overview:

Connections in Mind is a remote-based pioneering community interest company (CIC), that offers blended learning training programmes and coaching to professionals, schools, and individuals; as well as themed live online events in the field of executive functioning. We work with a community of psychologists, executive function coaches, teachers and teacher assistants, school management, students, and parents.

Our coaching programmes, webinars and courses are delivered by freelance coaches with backgrounds in psychology, education and coaching, and we pride ourselves on offering a bespoke support service to our clients.

We are a small, open-minded company, working to support neurodivergent (e.g. ADD, ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, etc.) people.

We have recently launched a new addition to our offering and now provide support workers/PA’s for neurodivergent individuals. Our support workers work with our clients to provide administrative assistance in the clients daily job role or personal lives.

The role:

This is not your average administrative role. We are looking for experienced professionals with Virtual assistant, PA and/or admin experience (admin experience can be within any field e.g accountancy, marketing, health care etc), willing to work in person and/or remotely with our clients. Our client needs and demands vary so you will need to be flexible and possess an array of skills, such as diary management, booking keeping, social media experience etc. We are looking for a variety of people who are willing to potentially work with a few clients, working up to 10 hrs per week per client and are passionate about supporting people who identify as being neurodivergent.

This role is responsible for supporting clients within their job role, including people who are self employed, and therefore the nature of the tasks will depend on the client. Please note that some tasks will be to support the client with the task, not necessarily to complete it yourself.

  • Diary management
  • Organising emails
  • Booking appointments
  • Setting up software and/or systems
  • Minute taking
  • Social media management
  • Booking keeping
  • Invoicing
  • Organising a project
  • Sorting data and/or files
  • Supporting with research

Who are you?

We imagine you are an experienced professional (especially within the field of admin) with the ability to form relationships quickly. You will be a good problem solver, with a growth mindset, and love supporting people. You are empathetic and passionate about the work we do. You are adept at working with technology to help you work more efficiently and support your clients. You are self-motivated and get excited about collaborating with a small but passionate team who, together, strive to make the world a better place. You are process orientated, have meticulous attention to detail and enjoy identifying and solving problems.

Required:

  • Bachelors/Honours qualification in a relevant field (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a senior administrative role or PA to senior leadership team
  • Experience working with neurodivergent clients (preferred)
  • Confidence in liaising with clients, and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Proficient in online systems (e.g. MS Office, Google Drive, video conferencing, asana) and knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g. Insightly)
  • A customer-oriented attitude
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills within and across all levels of client and internal organisational relationships
  • Empathetic and self-reflective attitude
  • Passionate about helping people with their executive functions and neurodiversity related challenges with a collaborative approach
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude and upholds a growth mindset
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent planning and prioritising skills
  • Ability to be flexible and switch between multiple responsibilities and demands within the role, and perform these tasks efficiently

Working hours:

As a freelance Admin/PA, your working hours and amount of hours will vary, but will usually be between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. You will typically work with 2-3 clients at a time, with the average client wanting up to 10 hours of support per week.

Rates:

Rates for this role are fixed and start at £16 per hour. Rates are billable monthly at the end of the month for payment at the end of the following month. Admin/Pa’s may have the opportunity to advance to higher rates and responsibility depending on their performance and tenure with Connections in Mind. Recruitment process:

  • Deadline for applications (including completing the verbal reasoning task) – 28th November 2025
  • Longlist task sent out 1st December 2025 – must be submitted by midnight 7th December 2024
  • Shortlisted candidates contacted for interview – by 9th December 2025
  • Interviews will take place 12th – 17th July 2024
  • Successful candidates will be notified by 19th December 2025

If you are successful you will need to complete our online NiSS training for our admin/PA support workers and submit all documents during onboarding before you can be matched with clients.
