Data Capturer

Job Description
Urang Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Capturer to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our operational data across platforms.
You will be responsible for capturing, validating, and updating key business data, managing internal communications related to task completion, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a commitment to confidentiality, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately capture and input data from various platforms, including email correspondence, verbal communication, and internal systems.
- Maintain and update internal databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Track and report on key metrics, including portfolio size, client activity, and block movements.
- Monitor internal deadlines and ensure timely completion of associated tasks.
- Handle routine communications via email and telephone to support task execution and follow-up.
- Process and analyse data using Microsoft Excel and internal software tools.
- Assist in creating and refining templates and internal workflows for greater efficiency.
- Flag data inconsistencies or areas of concern to senior management promptly.
- Adhere to all data protection laws and internal confidentiality policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant degree or equivalent work experience in data management, administration, or related fields.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with internal databases or property management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understanding of data protection legislation and confidentiality practices.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in remote or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with property management or administrative operations.
- Experience in task tracking, report preparation, or performance monitoring.

Salary and Benefits
- R16,000 – R20,000 per month (dependent on experience)
- 15 days annual leave (plus South African public holidays)
- Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 (SA time)
- Hybrid work arrangement with occasional visits to Stellenbosch
Please Note
Applicants must be based in the Cape Town/Winelands area or nearby, with the ability to attend occasional in-person meetings in Stellenbosch. A stable internet connection is essential, particularly during load shedding.
