About the Role
To fulfil a role of a Calibration Technician at various onshore and offshore locations.
Responsibilities
- Carry out calibration, service and refurbishment of various valves including but not limited to:
– Gate valve
– Globe Valves
– Control Valves
– Ball Valves
– Pneumatic and Hydraulic Actuators
– Pressure Safety/Relief Valves
– Diaphragm Valves
- In a variety of locations both locally and internationally whether it be onshore or offshore.
- Liaise with client daily during certification activities offshore and provide feedback to Calibration Technical Specialist.
- Liaise with client daily during certification activities onshore and provide feedback to Calibration Technical Specialist.
- Carry out various certifications in accordance with ISO17025, API & ASME.
- Carry out various Dimensional/Pressure/Torque/Mass calibration both internally as well as externally.
- Provide in-house, on the job training to assistant technicians as required.
- Work with Calibration Technical Specialist to identify potential additional scopes from various clients both onshore and offshore.
- Processing of Calibration Certificates while offshore for review, following good laboratory practice and submitting to Manager for review.
- Responsible for booking out and booking in of equipment for offshore clients.
- Assist Calibration Technical Specialist with writing work instructions.
- Assist with laboratory accreditations with regards to maintaining ISO 9001 and any future accreditations Vestrel Calibration may obtain.
Qualifications
- Proof of training in at least 2 disciplines of calibration mentioned above.

- High levels of Communication
- MS Word and Excel at advanced level
- Good level of vision
- Attention to detail
- Time Management
- Reporting management
- Understanding of ISO 17025 Compliance
- Good at working with your hands
Preferred Skills
- Experience in additional calibration disciplines.
- Familiarity with laboratory accreditation processes.
Experience
- Four Years’ experience in calibration of equipment.
