We are looking for a highly experienced, outbound-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) based in South Africa. This role is designed for a proven hunter who thrives in high-volume outreach environments and knows how to generate opportunities through disciplined prospecting, heavy cold calling, and proactive pipeline development. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of BDR/SDR experience, consistently meets aggressive outreach targets, and is fully comfortable working US business hours. This role will be a cornerstone in driving our subscription growth and expanding our customer base.

Responsibilities:

High-Volume Cold Calling

  • Make an average of 200 outbound calls per day to prospects across multiple industries.
  • Follow structured calling cadences to maximize connection and conversion rates.
  • Deliver strong, concise value propositions on every call.

Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Generation

  • Source, identify, and engage new leads beyond provided lists.
  • Prospect through multiple channels (phone, email, social, databases).
  • Build and maintain a solid pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Leverage tools for lead scraping, data cleanup, and list expansion.

Qualification & Discovery

  • Conduct discovery conversations to assess interest, need, authority, and timeline.
  • Convert cold outreach into sales-qualified opportunities (SQLs).
  • Ensure prospects fully understand the value of our subscription offerings.

Subscription Growth

  • Map needs to subscription packages and identify potential fit.
  • Recognize upsell opportunities early in conversations.
  • Assist in smooth handoff to sales/leadership teams.

CRM & Reporting

  • Track all activity and maintain clean, accurate CRM data.
  • Report daily and weekly on call volume, connections, SQLs, and pipeline health.
  • Maintain consistency and structure despite high outreach volumes.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Share feedback with leadership to refine messaging and target profiles.
  • Work with marketing on outbound sequences and content improvements.
  • Participate in strategy discussions to enhance outbound performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a BDR, SDR, or Inside Sales Rep.
  • Proven track record of making 150–250 outbound calls per day.
  • Demonstrated success generating pipeline from cold outreach.
  • Strong verbal communication skills tailored for US-based prospects.
  • High resilience, persistence, and ability to thrive under quotas.
  • Experience with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and disciplined time management.
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST

Specific Requirements to Candidates:

  • Reliable high-speed internet + backup connectivity option.
  • Quiet, professional remote work environment.
  • Ability to work US hours without exception.
  • Experience supporting US or international clients preferred.

Would be a plus:

  • Subscription or SaaS experience.
  • Experience with dialer tools, call tracking, or outbound automation.
  • Prior work in high-pressure, high-volume outbound environments.

What Success Looks Like:

  • 200+ calls/day consistently executed.
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly SQL and pipeline-creation targets.
  • High-quality conversations leading to strong opportunity flow.
  • Expansion into new segments and lead sources through independent prospecting.
  • Reliable, predictable pipeline feeding into sales and leadership teams.
