Business Development Manager / Series Development Lead (Remote)
Salary: R36,000 – R50,000 monthly basic + R33,000 on-target uncapped commission

Content With Purpose (CWP) is hiring an experienced Business Development Manager / Series Development Lead to join our remote team. This role is ideal for a B2B sales professional with media or content partnership experience who can confidently present to C-suite decision makers and close high-value partnerships.
With support from our pre-sales team that schedules most meetings in advance, you will focus on delivering high-quality video presentations, building relationships, and securing organizations as content partners in our award-winning digital video series.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about sustainability, global issues, and purpose-driven storytelling.

Role Overview – Series Development Lead
The Series Development Lead plays a key role in securing organizations to participate in our digital series as content partners.
You will deliver professional video presentations to senior decision-makers, including CEOs, marketing leaders, sustainability executives, academics, and government officials.
The role combines consultative B2B sales, research, and relationship management, helping organizations understand how participation in our digital series supports their strategic goals and sustainability messaging.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Presentations & Lead Conversion

Deliver multiple video presentations each week to C-suite decision-makers.

Present the value of becoming a Content Partner in our digital media series

Convert qualified prospects into signed partnerships

Follow up with interested organizations through emails, calls, and proposal discussions
Business Development & Research

Conduct industry research to identify potential partner organizations

Analyze sectors to understand emerging sustainability trends and opportunities

Collaborate with the pre-sales team to target the most relevant organizations
Client Onboarding & Relationship Management

Negotiate contracts and agreements with new partners

Manage onboarding processes for newly signed content partners.

Maintain strong professional relationships with participating organizations
Collaboration & Internal Communication

Share insights with creative and editorial teams to enhance storytelling and production

Contribute ideas to improve the company’s sales strategy and outreach processes

Work closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth project delivery

Required Experience
Candidates should have proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally within media, content, or service-based industries.
Key experiences include:

Demonstrated track record in new business development and deal closing

Experience presenting solutions to C-suite executives and senior decision makers

Strong research and market analysis skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and sales opportunities simultaneously

Comfortable collaborating with remote teams across different time zones

Knowledge of sustainability issues, global challenges, and current affairs

Salary & Benefits

Base Salary: R36,000 – R50,000 per month (depending on experience)

On-Target Commission: R33,000 monthly (uncapped)

Holiday Allowance: 25 days annual leave + public holidays
