Our client—a high-growth international SaaS provider—is looking for a Business Development Associate to join their dynamic sales team and help expand their footprint in South Africa and abroad.

About the Role

This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who thrives in high-performance environments and wants to build a long-term sales career in the tech space. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and qualifying new leads, engaging with C-suite executives, and setting up product demonstrations for a market-leading SaaS platform. The role offers clear growth potential into a Business Development Manager position based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify new business opportunities across local and international markets.
  • Outreach Campaigns: Use cold calling, emailing, and social media to engage potential clients and generate interest in the product.
  • Appointment Setting: Book qualified meetings with senior stakeholders and assist in preparing for product demonstrations.
  • Sales Enablement: Support Business Development Managers with lead tracking, CRM updates, and ongoing engagement.
  • Brand Representation: Share relevant content and act as a visible ambassador on platforms like LinkedIn.
  • Process Improvement: Provide feedback to help refine outreach strategies and increase conversion rates.

Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • University degree with 0–2 years of work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A confident, outgoing personality with a professional approach
  • Strong research and organisational skills
  • Determination to meet and exceed targets
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to engage decision-makers
  • Quick learner who can grasp complex financial and tech concepts

Preferred:

  • Exposure to financial services, stock markets, or accounting standards
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or lead generation
  • Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems
  • Competitive spirit and team collaboration mindset
